Address: 254 Alderman Hall 1970 Folwell Avenue St. Paul, MN 55108Dr. Horgan's interests revolve around nutrient fate and general turfgrass management. Specifically, he is interested in improving our nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer recommendations, gaining a better understanding of the fate of phosphorus in our environment, and utilizing organic nitrogen fractions in the soil to create an N-credit program. He will be evaluating turfgrass species and cultivars to help provide information to the turfgrass managers around Minnesota and the northern climate states. In addition, he is the turfgrass extension specialist. This title gives him an excellent opportunity to interact with the industry and facilitate educational programs designed to meet the needs of the state. He is the faculty advisor to the Horticulture Club and the student chapter of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.
