We’re the perfect place to explore and GROW! High school graduation is a major achievement, but what about life after graduation? If you enjoy biology and plants, working outside, interacting with people, and have an entrepreneurial spirit, consider a degree in Environmental Horticulture at the University of Minnesota! Our Environmental Horticulture program is part of the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS). Located on the beautiful St. Paul campus just a short, free bus ride from the Minneapolis campus, you’ll have the best of both worlds: a small, friendly community with access to the resources of a major research University.
As an incoming freshman you’ll be part of our Environmental Horticulture Student Learning Community. In addition, you’ll get one-on-one advising and mentoring from Horticulture professors, the same people who teach all of your classes! Other benefits include active student clubs, scholarships, an honors program, international experiences, and research opportunities.
Below are some quick links you may find helpful as a high school student exploring your college and university options. You are considered a freshman if you have not completed college-level coursework since graduating from high school. If you were a PSEO student you are still considered a freshman; however, you will need to submit an official transcript of your college coursework.
