Our department consists of a diverse community of scientists and educators brought together by a shared passion for plants. We're committed to the University of Minnesota's land grant mission, providing excellence in teaching, research, and outreach.

Our faculty members represent a wide range of horticultural knowledge. In partnership with expert technical and clerical staff we offer an environment for exploration and learning that is rigorous, yet flexible and supportive. 

Graduate and undergraduate students from around the globe enrich our department with their unique backgrounds. Together we work to build a creative problem-solving community that promotes the health and welfare of all people, through the art and science of horticulture.
