Address: Minnesota Landscape Arboretum 3675 Arboretum Drive St. Paul, MN 55108Steve has been a member of the Woody Landscape Plant project at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum since 1987. His research activities include characterizing the cold hardiness of woody landscape plant taxa and development of new cold tolerant tree and shrub cultivars. Steve also studies responses of landscape tree taxa to a number of abiotic stress factors including soil moisture deficits and high soil pH as part of a long-term effort to breed and select landscape trees adapted to harsh environmental conditions.
