Comments:
The college campus contains a two-acre pond and several acres of woods and expansive lawns. There are numerous well maintained annual and perennial gardens tucked around campus, including shade gardens, a rock garden and an English style garden located on the west side of Whitby Hall. This garden has some plant signage.
Another unique feature is nearby on the grounds of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, south of the Carondelet Center at 1890 Randolph Avenue. It is a grass labyrinth installed in 1997 as part of a summer spirituality institute and intended to offer a specific site for outdoor, strolling meditation.
