Comments:
This garden is on University of Minnesota land, but was planted and is maintained by state Master Gardeners. It is intended as a teaching garden and has examples of butterfly and prairie gardens. There are plantings of University of Minnesota introduced plants, trees, shrubs and hardy chrysanthemums, and an heirloom plant garden. There are All American selection display plots. There is an educational display showing comparisons of different mulch options. A central gazebo anchors the garden and there is an example of a small pond/water garden feature, too. All plantings are well labeled.
