Horticultural Science offers
graduate students a dynamic place to do original research. Our faculty belong
to several programs throughout the University, and our graduate students take
advantage of these connections to meet colleagues in other departments and gain
from their expertise.
Jonathon Hensley is a graduate student whose thesis work involves designing and implementing green roofs for buildings on campus.
Display & Trial Garden
This summer, Research Fellow Emily Tepe is exploring the advantages of introducing fruits and vegetables into the home landscape. She is maintaining a blog, the Edible Landscape, about the experience.
The Edible Landscape is one of many projects we are conducting in the Display & Trial Garden. The Garden, located just one block from our building, has been an asset to the Department for many years. Find out more about the Display & Trial Garden.
